Tooth Cavities in Underweight and Overweight Children
Researches have now released the statistics for us to better understand the dynamics of occurrence of tooth cavities in underweight and overweight children. In a latest research, data was collected over the passage of five years of both underweight and overweight children and the occurrence of tooth cavities in them.
The statistics revealed that before the year 2000 it was a widely accepted belief that cavities are most common to occur in children who are underweight. In this newer study, the data was collected from various doctors’ offices and it was found that the ratio of cavities was more in children who were either overweight or were borderline.

The stunning results of this study revealed that there was a very little percentage of underweight children suffering from dental cavities. This study also revealed the risk of cavities children who are not managing their weight since early ages. This is also an alarming condition for parents to realize the fact that if they are not going to care for their children’s weight, then they might see them suffer from a lot of dental issues right from very early ages.
Researchers are now agreeing while looking at these statistics that there should be a worldwide campaign to better aware parents, teachers and reading dentists that we all simply need to educate our children to ensure a better future of nations throughout the world
Note: This is not a country wide campaign but a global one to ensure better health for all.
